Terms of service
Version 1.1. Effective October 12, 2026.
These terms
Samoony is a service of OmniCite Inc., a federal corporation under the Canada Business Corporations Act (corporation number 1812227-0), with its registered office at c/o Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, 225 6 Ave SW, Suite 2700, Calgary, AB T2P 1N2, Canada. "We" and "us" mean OmniCite Inc., and "you" means the person using the service.
By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
Who can use Samoony
You must be 18 or over. You must own the social accounts you give us, or be authorized by the person who does. We confirm you control a handle with a short code in your Instagram bio, when you connect the account through the platform's own sign in, or by confirming it with you directly. We may refuse or close any account.
What Samoony does
You give us your handles, or connect your accounts once. We read your public posts, build a page about your work at samoony.com/@handle, and keep it current without you needing to do anything else. The page is public and built to be found by search engines and AI assistants.
We never ask for or store your passwords, post as you, manage your social media, find sponsorships for you, negotiate for you, or handle money for you. We may change or withdraw features, and we will tell you if we withdraw something you rely on.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure. We may reclaim a Samoony handle that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, or is chosen in bad faith. Tell us at getsamoony@gmail.com if you think someone else is using your account.
What you authorize us to do
You authorize us to retrieve and read your public social content, write a description of your work from it, publish that description at samoony.com/@handle, rebuild it periodically from your recent public posts, and check your public bio once to confirm you control the handle. This covers public content only. You can withdraw this at any time. If you connect an account through the platform's own sign in, you also authorize us to read the information you approved there, for the same purposes, until you disconnect.
Getting you mentioned
With your permission, our team may create and manage listings, profiles and mentions for you on third party sites to help you get found. We do this by hand and follow each site's rules. You leave the approach to us, and everything we place stays true to you and the content you make. Some placements may be paid for by us and may be labelled as sponsored by the site that shows them. Each site has its own terms. We do not sign anything or make commitments in your name without asking you first. You give this permission when you sign up, and you can ask us to stop at any time. We will then withdraw what we created where the site allows.
Platform terms
Our use of YouTube content is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service at https://www.youtube.com/t/terms. Each platform you connect has its own terms, and connecting an account to Samoony does not change them.
Approval and updates
Nothing is published until you approve your page. After that, updates publish automatically, and we email you each time with a way to view and undo the change. Updates that would remove a significant part of your page are held for review. You can turn off updates or take your page down at any time.
Accuracy
Every statement on your page must trace back to your own public captions, and we check it before publishing. If something is wrong, tell us at getsamoony@gmail.com and we will fix it. You are responsible for what you have posted. A description of your content is not an endorsement or verification by us.
Acceptable use
Do not claim a handle or identity that is not yours, give us false information, use Samoony to promote anything unlawful, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit, use it to publish information about others without their agreement, attempt to break, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service, or resell it without our agreement. We may suspend an account and take its page down for breaching this section.
Who owns what
Your posts, photos, videos and captions stay yours. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use your public content to build, publish and update your page while it is live. The Samoony name, site, software and page design are ours. The written description on your page is ours, and you may use it for your own purposes while your account is open.
Taking your page down
You can leave at any time using the removal link on your page or by writing to getsamoony@gmail.com. We will take your page down, stop rebuilding it, and withdraw the listings we created for you where the site allows. We may remove a page for a breach of these terms, an unresolved complaint, a legal requirement, or if we stop offering the service.
Once a page has been public, search engines and AI systems may hold copies. We will ask the major search engines to remove it, but we cannot guarantee every copy disappears.
What we cannot promise
We do not promise that an AI assistant will name you, that your page will rank or be indexed, or that you will receive sponsorships, enquiries or income. Search engines and AI systems decide for themselves what to show. What we promise is the work: a page built from your real content, published, kept current, and open to be found.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties not expressly given in these terms.
We are not liable for lost income, sponsorships, opportunities or profits; for anything a search engine, AI system, social platform or third party site does; for loss caused by a third party service we rely on; or for content you posted before using Samoony.
Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the total fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or CA$100 if no fees were paid.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms, content you posted that infringes someone else's rights, a claim that you did not own or were not authorized to use a handle you gave us, or a listing created at your request. This does not apply to anything caused by our own negligence or breach.
Law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Alberta have exclusive jurisdiction.
We may change these terms. We will post the new version here, and for material changes we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Samoony after that means you accept the change. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between us.
